Karen R King, LMT #24041

Newly transplanted in Oregon 2018
With us since June 2018
Monday Tuesday Wednesday 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Friday 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Karen specializes in deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point therapy, and neck injury treatment. She attended massage school in Washington where she practiced for six years and specialized in Ashiatsu barefoot bar therapy for two years, before moving to the Beaverton area.
She believes a great massage requires the ability to listen not only to a client’s ailments, but to the body itself, through deep and slow strokes. Allowing her to feel out just the right spots requiring extra attention while maintaining a very luxurious, relaxing effect. She is also an advocate for the importance of muscle balance through strengthening and stretching, and postural correction.
Karen is an avid academic and philosopher. Often with her nose to the books, she believes knowledge often leads to more questions than answers, but seeking those answers is the passion that drives her.

I am often asked how I came up with the business name of Angelic Healing Hands, Inc. During my last term at East West College of the Healing Arts, I was instructed to develop a business name. I wanted it to be something to do with "touch," a power greater than ourselves, and a way in which to bring the two together. There are many clichés that offer the idea but none that were specific to "this" new massage practice. Angelic Healing Hands, Inc. offers our community a great retreat and healing environment with the ambiance of professionalism and comforts of home.
All therapists employed here at Angelic Healing Hands, Inc. are Licensed in the state of Oregon, some are Nationally Certified and all have a minimum of 600 hours of training with ongoing continued education. I have a background of many retail management experiences such as movie theaters, grocery, hardware, general merchandise, pet store, and banking – to name a few: None of which gave me the satisfaction that massage therapy does. I was once asked by a physician, "What was the most profound event I had ever experienced?" My reply was and still is – to witness the client becoming whole again! I explained many people come to us with aches and pains and that our goal is to help in their healing process. The problems can be anything from a muscle strain, emotional upset, energetic imbalance, and so forth and to witness the healing of one or more of these components is a miracle that words often can not express.
The philosophy of this office is; ALL clients are welcome to visit and encouraged to experience every therapist at their own discretion. We recognize that sometimes you have to try several styles and personalities before you find the "right" therapist. Some of our clients like rotating around the office to avoid becoming bored or find that they have a specific need with which one therapist may be more suitable than another.
Please feel free to e-mail me anytime (firstname.lastname@example.org) I am available to answer any questions and/or respond to any comments you may have.

John Ramey, LMT #9579
With us since February 2007
Licensed Since 2000
10:00 am to 7:00 pm
John specializes in Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sports, Prenatal, and Geriatric Massage
After a successful career as a photographer in New York City and Europe, in 1998 John learned massage and worked as a therapist at the posh Canyon Ranch Spa Club in the Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas. Persuaded by an old high-school friend to join her in Portland, John has been in Oregon since 2002.
John believes that the best results in massage come from a collaboration between the client and therapist. He sees massage as an avenue for people to understand how stress in their lives affects them physically. As they become more aware of these effects, they can learn to take more control over their physical and emotional well-being.
As a therapist, John is patient, focused, sensitive and intuitive. He says many clients mention that they can tell he loves his work!
